Clinical Director/Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Beth Salter, LCMHC, LCAS

You are the expert on your life, therefore I use a collaborative approach to therapy driven by your input. Together we will develop a treatment plan to give you the tools and skills to achieve your optimal life satisfaction and emotional wellness in a caring non-judgmental environment. My counseling experience spans all ages, for individual, couples, family and group therapy. I provide comprehensive clinical assessments, substance abuse and ADHD assessments. I have treated a range of symptoms, including adjustment disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorder, and substance use disorders.

Using many theoretical approaches I help you achieve your goals including CBT, recovery model, motivational interviewing, DBT and TF-CBT therapy. My training in TF-CBT allows me to more effectively treat physical, sexual and emotional abuse in all ages.

My groups are all classroom style to not put anyone on the spot in front of others. This puts you in charge of how much or how little you share in group. The groups are designed to help you gain the maximum skills and tools, even if you share minimally.

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Haylee McFarland, LCMHC, NCC

I truly believe that we all possess the strength to overcome the issues that life throws us. Sometimes we just need additional training and assistance from others to help us overcome life’s obstacles. In our counseling relationship, we will work together to create a genuine relationship in which you feel heard and motivated to achieve your goals. I strive to create a non-judgmental and open therapeutic space for everyone that I work with. Throughout my time as a counselor, I have been able to gain experience working with those dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, substance misuse, stress management, time management, ADHD, trauma, and adjustment issues.

I primarily work with individuals from a foundation of Person-Centered and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches. However, I also utilize a variety of other techniques that include crisis framework, mindfulness exercises, Grief and Loss theories, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, role plays, and a variety of CBT techniques. I offer a flexible approach that can be adjusted to meet the needs of each client I work with.

Taking the first steps towards counseling can be overwhelming and unnerving. I admire the bravery that it takes to begin the counseling process and will treat you and your emotions with great care and respect. I look forward to meeting you and aiding you in your pursuit for personal growth.

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Karyn Miracle, LCMHCA

Are life’s challenges making you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or out of control? Do you feel as though you have lost pieces of yourself and are unsure of who you are or what you want? Have memories of the past or worries about the future prevented you from living the life you desire? My commitment as your counselor is to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your personal experiences. Together we will explore and identify any barriers and obstacles keeping you stuck, and implement skills and strategies to help you reduce anxiety, improve mood, strengthen relationships, and foster growth.  My goal as your counselor is to provide you with the space and skills to move from where you are to where you want to be.

My intention when working with Teens (13+) and Adults in individual sessions is to make sure that you feel heard, understood, and respected throughout our time together. My primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to: ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Relationship Struggles, Parenting, Military Members & Families, and Adjustment issues. Foundationally, I tend to lead toward a Person-Centered therapeutic approach, but integrate various methods and interventions from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) depending on what fits best for each client. I cannot promise to change your circumstances or behaviors, but I can promise to provide you with a supportive, non-judgemental, safe space to facilitate healing and promote growth.

Olivia Brazer, Counselor Intern

I genuinely believe everyone benefits from counseling. Whether you’re jumping back into therapy or coming for the first time, I’m so glad you’re here. I look forward to working together as we seek to achieve your goals and get to know one another. As a counseling intern, I am honored by your vulnerability and recognize that trust is built over time. It is my hope that our sessions together feel like a safe space where you are free to share what’s on your mind and heart (be that past experiences, future concerns, or present circumstances).

As an intern, I operate under the License and supervision of Beth Salter (LCMHC) to provide individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults (ages 10+). Typically, I work from a psychodynamic approach. However, I integrate various techniques, including CBT and Narrative Therapy, as personalization is an essential component of counseling.

Educationally, I attended Elon University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I currently attend Northwestern University to attain a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I come from a nonprofit ministry background and have experience as a caretaker. Both my education and life experience have taught me a great deal about resiliency, which often starts with counseling. Thank you for taking the first step in seeking out counseling.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
